I’ve wanted to do this hike for years – Mount Klitsa!

LIMG_0515Dave and I had a great mid-July hike with Ron and Brett up Mount Adder. They were planning a trip a couple of days later to Mount Klitsa, and invited us along on that too. I was totally excited about that – I’ve wanted to do Klitsa for years. My old Tofino friend, artist Mark Hobson, had told me about it, but somehow I never had a chance to get up there. Dave’s Tofino Run

We are in Tofino for a few days as Jackie is speaking about the geology of Clayoquot Sound for the Rainforest Education Society at the Tofino Botanical Gardens.  While Jackie was preparing her presentation I took the opportunity to go for a longer run through the Tofino trail system and out to Chesterman Beach and back.

An interesting run from Cougar Annie’s along the Hesquiaht Peninsula.

Jackie and I were visiting our property at Hot Springs Cove, northwest of Tofino, so we went up past there and visited her old friend, Peter Buckland at Boat Basin.  We were here for two days and managed to go for a neat two hour run through the Hesquiaht traditional territory.

Wild Pacific Trail Run, Ucluelet

On our way to Tofino for a paddle carving workshop, Jackie and I stopped to run Ucluelet’s world-class Wild Pacific Trail for a loop of about 15 km.
